Friday 1 Oct 2010 SAVE THIS DATE in your calendars... We are celebrating SALSA STREETS 3rd SALSA Birthday as well as our 1st ZUMBA birthday. This annual semi-formal Ball is a perfect excuse to get frocked up and dance the night away. Firstly we indulge in a 3 course dinner, and top off the night with band "LOS LOCOS" playing their fabulous quirky spanish music, and all of us dancing on the biggest dancefloor in Geelong! Its a great way to get all our past and present students of Zumba and Salsa together all on one magnificent night. We are even trying to secure some special guests too - more info soon... Tickets are $50 per person, are on sale at all Salsa Street classes (Salsa and Zumba). Table seating is for groups of 10. Get your own group together or we can arrange it for you. RAFFLE: All existing students with completed 6 and 10 class cards, will go into the draw for one of 2 FREE BALL tickets. We have been collecting complete cards the last 2 months, so you may already be in the draw. First ticket gets drawn next week! Friday 8 Oct 2010 - Sunday 10 Oct 2010 The first ever Anglesea Music Festival will be held over 3 beautiful spring days in October from the 8th, 9th and 10th 2010. The Anglesea Music Festival will draw from a decade of grass roots experience gained from holding regular musical events and concerts as part of Anglesea Live evolving into a unique Music Festival. The AMF venues range from the Marquee on the Geelong side of the Anglesea River, the Anglesea Hotel, Sea Eyes Cafe and other fringe of the festival venues in the Anglesea Township. The line up includes Wendy Stapleton, Lisa Edwards, Paul Norton and Michael Christian, The Band who knew too much, Chris Wilson, Dave Steel , Tiffany Eckhardt, The Sweethearts, Mojo corner, Tony Johannsen and the Land of Plenty, Chubby Rae and the Elevators, Marisa Quigley, Wayne Jury, Stringybark McDowell, Los Locos, Sunset Dukes, Almacknjack, Suspicious Aloysius, Mystique, Mangy Black Dogs, Jessey Jackson, Underhanded and many many more. LOS LOCOS playing on Sunday at the Marque at 1:15 and at the Pub at 4pm. Sunday 31 Oct 2010 Salsa Street will be joining the Toast to the Coast festivities this year at Austins Wines. We will be performing dance demonstrations and also giving a FREE introductory Salsa lesson. |
